Though nobody can go back and make a new beginning, anyone can start over and make a new ending.” ~Chico Xavier

2021 started with calmness since 2020 was a long pandemonium year. I looked forward to a year with re-strategizing and slowly getting back into the new normal. However, it was a fast year filled with ups and downs while I was still trying to get a hang of it, the year ran fast.

So many of us looked around and wondered what the world would be like in 2021. Would many people return to the office? Would kids return to classrooms? Would we return to restaurants, concerts, football games? The COVID-19 vaccine helped move many of us in that direction, but as 2021 ends, we’re still grappling with many of those same questions.

I will be sharing some of the highlights of my 2021; it was not so much for me to be honest.

Spiritual Life

Due to the Pandemic, churches were closed until the last quarter of the year; Hence, I depended on online programs and services to stay connected. Thanks to my friend Dami who shared Pastor Bolaji’s NLP daily morning prayer links, also my Mum who sends daily “Open Heaven” messages to me on WhatsApp.

I also got to discover and listen more to Apostle Selman messages; they are powerful and particularly heart piecing.

At the last quarter of the year when churches were opened, I took up the challenge to teach at the discipleship class which made me study God’s word further.

I am not at that spiritual level as I want to be, but I am hoping and praying I move close to God this coming year 2022.

Work-Life

I got committed to my work further as I took more responsibility in managing the Food Division of the business. Improved my skills, most especially in communication with suppliers and major stakeholders, also in my work details as regard analyzing reports and data. I am proud of myself to have grown professionally as I celebrated my 2nd year at the company in October 2021. My value has increased tremendously; however, the business has been slow, and we are hoping to get back fully on track with #MissionPossible 2022.

To further highlight, I joined the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) to help guide and serve in my professional journey. While I have joined as a member, I have not taken up the challenge to get a certified qualification at the different levels. I am hoping to do that in 2022.

Love Life

2020 was a good year as regards my love life but 2021 was full of emotional roller coasters, it was not good for me as I almost gave up on my future. A lot of things happened and so difficult for me to write about it now **sad face**.I was challenged as a man, as a confidant, as a lover. Words were thrown at me, silent treatments, resentments, all at once. it was a tough time.

Despite all these, the year 2021 is ending well for me in this regard. One thing I have learnt is to be patient, fight for what you love, never burn bridges, forgive ahead, and keep learning. I am glad to have received sweet words today “Your calmness compliments my hyperness, your prudency compliments my jaiye jaiye ness 🌚 Your being logical compliments my being emotional! You make my personality make sense! I admit that it took us a break and almost losing each other to understand the gift we have! Thank you for being the best person for me! You fought for me that’s big deal! All the risk you took

“Be a lover, not a fighter. But always fight for what you love.”

Financial Life

This is the year I saved so much and spent so much. I get this stingy vibe from some people and that got me worried. I started to learn what is the difference between being stingy and prudent, it is a thin line but there is a difference. I will never hold money for someone to suffer or even myself to suffer; however, I am careful about how money is spent.

One thing I have realized is that it is only broke people who think someone is stingy, the entitlement attitude. I personally think it is important to spend wisely. Money is meant to be spent at the end of the day but wisely.

I invested in Crypto, the Stock market, businesses, building project and I hope to do more in 2022.

Family Life

I am always grateful for my family members; they are the best! I was privileged to see all of them this year. Spending Christmas with my family was the whole highlight for me in 2021, having expanded my family members, I am so grateful- ODEKUNLE X OSHO!

I will keep saying it, FAMILY IS ALL! If you don’t have one, make one!

Lessons from 2021

1. Overthinking no fit solve problem — Simply put, you can’t solve your problem by being worried.

2. Problem no dey finish- Enjoy the present, appreciate the present, it is called present because it is a gift.

3. Love is a decision — — Love is not a feeling because feelings come and go!

4. What is yours is YOURS.

5. People are generally the same, just a few tweaks — — Learn to be dynamic.

6. Money is a defence.

7. You can’t have it all right.

8. Making good decisions and working SMART is much more likely to make you successful.

9. Understanding what you can control and what you cannot is underrated.

10. You can’t do without GOD.

I wish you a beautiful Year 2022! See Ya!

I am strongly choleric (leader-like), yet deeply sanguine (pleasure-seeking). I value relationships #ExpandCapacity . I am first HUMAN before MAN.
