2023: A Rollercoaster of Life’s Dynamics

Ah, It is the early morning of the second to the last day of December 2023, and here I am, pondering life’s grand symphony while my laptop and I engage in a staring contest with the ceiling. The sore throat, a loyal companion, adds its own note to the orchestra of existence. And hey, why not write about the melodramatic tale that has been my 2023? It’s been a wild ride, aptly titled “Life’s Dynamics.”

  1. Family: So, I officially became someone’s responsible adult. Independence, we had a good run, but it’s time to share the spotlight. Turns out, my income can do a stellar job of catering to another human. Initially terrified, but shoutout to the wife for being the understanding and supportive MVP. Quick tip to aspiring husbands: Being a provider is not a walk in the park, but it’s like playing FIFA on Legendary difficulty — tough but oh-so-satisfying. Make sure to be a provider by all means, communicate your capacity and capabilities effectively with your partner, and do not live a fake life to impress as it will hunt you later. It is not easy but it is doable.

2. Career: My career, well, it was the tortoise to my rabbit. Stagnant, perhaps because I was mentally drafting my resignation letter due to a pending relocation. Learning MS Excel from a YouTube guru became an investment in my personal and professional growth, though. Quick tip for job seekers: Pray for a boss who doesn’t make you question your life choices daily; it’s a game-changer.

3. Spiritual: Spiritually, 2023 levelled up. Daily devotionals with the wife and her BFF Foyin (who’s practically family now) became a thing. Also, listening to fiery preachers while getting dressed? Picture me strutting around with the boldness of Apostle Joshua Selman and Bishop David Oyedepo. Quick tip — Bluetooth earplugs + spiritual wisdom = dynamic combo. Proverbs 24:10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, Thy strength is small.

4. Health: Health-wise, I escaped the clutches of ailments. Kudos to daily home workouts, even though I’m still a bit cough chubby. And quick tip guys, ditch the fizzy drinks for almond, walnut, and date smoothies — your body will thank you later. If you know you know.

5. Finance: Now, money, oh sweet, elusive money. 2023 saw a healthy flow, and though I spent like a kid in a candy store, I never went broke. Thank the financial gods. Smart choices in finance became my mantra — mindful spending, aggressive savings, and playing the investment game. Yes, I got burnt once, but as they say, “We move.” Quick tip — Manage your spending, and you’ll realize you’re richer than you think.

6. Entertainment: Amidst life’s chaos, there were some shining moments. Boat trips, UK vacations, and weekly FIFA showdowns in Kuwait with the guys over drinks— all about maximizing fun with minimum expenditure. Quick advice: Enjoy life, problems are eternal, might as well dance in the rain.

Looks on vacay

7. Relationships: Building and maintaining relationships, they said. Hard work, they never warned. But here’s a nugget of wisdom: In the grand orchestra of life, relationships are the jazz improvisation — unpredictable, a bit chaotic, but oh-so-beautiful.

With my Padis of life

So here’s to 2023, a symphony of highs and lows, a rollercoaster of life’s dynamics. As we bid adieu, let’s remember: Life’s like a game of FIFA, sometimes you win, sometimes you rage quit, but in the end, it’s all part of the beautiful game. Cheers to the next level!

I am strongly choleric (leader-like), yet deeply sanguine (pleasure-seeking). I value relationships #ExpandCapacity . I am first HUMAN before MAN.
